As long as they shared at least a chunk of history in Heavensward, they'd have been OK. They fell for each other due to seeing the other one handle some really hard choices under pressure - "this is who this person really is when the chips are down".
#wolqotd Speaking on ships and when you knew when…. What if your ship met at another time in the timeline of your canon? Would they still end up together? Was it really just a perfect storm for how they’re together now or is it an always situation?

Keimwyda's actual intuition is pretty good, but nevertheless she doesn't implicitly trust her intuition. A big part of the reason she didn't speak up earlier re: the Crystal Braves is because, though she felt squirmy about the whole venture, she figured other people knew better than her.

I love taking deep dives into characters' brains, whether it's straightforwardly writing about what they're thinking, conveying their tone, vocabulary, and personality in their dialog, or teasing out their motives for their actions. "What makes this person tick" is juicy to me.

Keimwyda is really good at both, *especially* down to earth, local, in-season stuff--hunting and foraging included. She could make you one of those "left side of the fridge" style casseroles and it would be genuinely delicious. She can make a mean wild sourdough.
