I played a lot of it on switch 1, which isn't really strong enough to run the game, but playing with a controller was weirdly satisfying. My roommate joked it looked like I was playing an intense shooter when I was just building railroads lol.

I keep wanting a roguelike survival version of fallout 1 to exist and I keep forgetting caves of qud exists which isn't exactly that but I bet it would scratch the itch and is probably a better game than the one I want.

Oh it's portfolio day. I don't really have a portfolio, but here, have some pieces I actually got paid for (and one I'm just quite proud of). I would be happy to get paid to draw more things but I'm also just happy I've gotten to do this much already.

I don't recognize any of those words but it sounds like the perfect day to me. I never visited Croatia when I was living in Hungary and I definitely regretted that.

There's a Hungarian restaurant in NYC that does a "modern" chicken paprikás and I've never been more offended by a meal that probably still tastes very good.

I genuinely have never heard that take before. I know very few people that have actually read any Lovecraft. Those that have though definitely know that he was a pulp writer and not like the great American novelist or something like that.

Also like, I don't feel much need to study and copy other DMs/GMs anymore, I've got too many of my own ideas to run and I'm pretty comfortable and set in my game-running ways now.

You know, I don't think it's ever really clicked with me either, but I've still watched a dumb amount of episodes. I think when they first started I was really grateful for a high quality actual play but we've got a lot of those now.

The only thing that bothers me is that there will be a lot of inflatable Halloween costumes this year and I always found that low effort-high attention getting thing annoying at Halloween. It's good to get people feeling like it's a party though, I think it's motivating.
