Not only... his claim to the prize was for forcing victims of genocide to accept a "peace" in which they were blamed for their own genocide as a condition for stopping the genocide while shielding the actual perpetrators from any accountability.

Cajun have made a lot of money selling Creole food, renamed as Cajun and erasing Black people from the history of Louisiana cuisine... the French never used seasonings like we do. When did the Cajun start, except after they learned it from us...

The "peace" plan is first in history where the victims of genocide are held responsible for their own genocide. Perpetrators of crimes against humanity face no sanction or reprimand. Are not required to provide justice or restitution. Palestinians must again prove they don't deserve to be killed

Though Israel and its allies have derided Palestinian resistance groups for holding hostages in Gaza, Israel itself is holding thousands of Palestinian hostages, both dead and alive, in its own prisons.

At least 250 Palestinian bodies have not been returned to their families.

We need to talk about Russell Vought – But Properly

Why certain mainstream outlets insist on sanitizing Vought as a devout “small government” conservative – and what actually animates his war against pluralistic democracy.

A woman who was shot multiple times by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents did not ram them with her car and had her weapon stored in her purse at the time of the incident, according to her lawyer, contradicting accounts by the Department of Homeland Security.

We're missing an opportunity to place democratic reform more firmly in this conversation.

Each of those local rallies should be demanding local democratic reforms

We undermine authoritarianism, by showing "what democracy can look like".

“The market that emerges under siege is not a sign of resilience—it is a system of predation born of deliberate policy.”

As Israel’s blockade drives Palestinians into daily negotiations with their dignity, women have become the front-line managers of scarcity, Mariam Mohammed Al-Khateeb writes.

They have to do more than "attack the autocrat", that's low hanging fruit.

How can they within their states spark the needed reimagining and evolution of democracy and people's relationships to government?

That's transformative work, not just trading insults with a wanna be dictator.

For "Big-D Democrats and small-d democrats who want to save democracy, to get through this era and reach some sort of new normal, a critical set of approaches are deterrence and hardball," says Arkadi Gerney, who is advising Dem governors on how to fight Trump. newrepublic.com/article/2014...

Two years into Israel’s genocide, the US movement in solidarity with Palestinians is far weaker than it should be.

To cut off American arms to Israel, we need to build a powerful movement oriented to ordinary Americans beyond activist circles.

The Most Expensive World Cup of All Time

This is the first World Cup where fans have been asked to pay thousands of dollars just for the chance to buy a ticket at a later date, the first with 'dynamic' pricing, and the first with an uncapped resale platform.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that all these data centers are going into communities that have been historically targeted for exploitation and have the least amount of civic power wielded by the people living there.
