DHH's politics are not normal. Maybe they used to be, I don't know, but as of right now the dude is_way outside of what most people would consider moral or acceptable.

I have tried my very hardest to make this read about Indonesia's last 48 hours as accessible and easy to digest as possible. The goal here is that there is NO assumed knowledge (except for Jokowi, i think I always assume him sorry)

Read this. Millions of Indonesians are in the streets protesting the policies of a corrupt president and his legislative flunkies.

If you are wondering what happened in Indonesia yesterday, this is the whole summary. I don't care if you dislike politics, but it's about humanity. It would be greatly appreciated if my English speaker friends here try to educate themselves and share this as a form of spreading more awareness.

Good reflections, reminded me of the quote "I would have written a shorter letter, but did not have the time."

Apparently wrongly attributed to Twain, did not google enough to find the original though.

I had to check if this was for real, but he actually posted it and even defends it, saying anyone who disagrees just doesn’t get it.

QLever codebase is ~ 130k lines of C++, after 10 years (minus tests). Just to give you an idea of how stupid this statement is.

I see the same on some websites I host from my OS/2 netlabs past. Crazy amount of traffic on the wikis I still run there and archives like edm2. com
The Wikimedia Foundation, which owns Wikipedia, says its bandwidth costs have gone up 50% since Jan 2024 — a rise they attribute to AI crawlers.

How close is every building 🏠 in Switzerland to the nearest public transport stop? 🚆

With QLever and some clean RDF data, this is easy.
Magdalena and I show it in our new demo, crazy fast, super visual.

@cmungall.bsky.social we play with Link-ML at Zazuko at the moment, very impressive work! What I couldn't figure out so far, is there an "internal" model that is the "source of truth" or are YAML, RDF, etc representations/serializations interchangeable?

Johnson: "Elon's cracked the code. He's now inside these agencies. He's created these algorithms that are constantly crawling through the data & as he told me in his office, data doesn't lie. We're gonna be able to get the information. We're gonna be able to transform the way federal govt works."

Proud to announce our second venture! We teamed up with Hannah Bast and Johannes Kalmbach, the makers of the incredibly fast and scalable RDF triplestore QLever, to provide commercial support and services under @qleverize.com.

If you have hard problems where graphs could help, let’s talk.
We scale where others fail. QLever makes knowledge graphs with hundreds of billions of triples possible on commodity hardware, unlocking RDF’s full potential at unprecedented scale.

QLeverize is here to support that transformation. Read our press release:
