I noticed @microsoft.com down an hour ago... this isn't just a blip anymore. #HugOps to the folks at Azure.
I've noticed enough "plausible but wrong" suggestions while coding with AI that these recent outages have me seeing "AI in ops" boogeymen.

I'm reading code that was definitely written by someone with a vertical monitor.

This is scarier to me than it should be? Generative video AI often breaks in comedic ways because the models are mostly light and words without the concept of "skeleton".
This may just be the GUI lacking the idea of "train" or "crossing signal" or it could be a horrifying nav AI "knowledge" gap.
lol, a clip of a Tesla's vision system trying to understand a train

People breathlessly explaining the mechanical, basic pros/cons of block lists as if they're conveying some great moral insight will never not be funny.
If an account that is pro football and pro something else you like, and someone creates a list to block football, blindly blocking those people closes you off from some of their content you may find as beneficial.

I feel like a lot of people are seeing BlueSky growth through entirely rose-colored eyes. Yes, your current out of box experience is very good.
Also watch for the impersonation and rapid growth of bots and bad actors. We have little information on how BlueSky will respond to these challenges.

Blue-check sorting and private financing destroyed Twitter.

I can almost sense a migraine forming in @kenwhite.bsky.social head that throbs to the rhythm of the phrase "heckler's veto" on loop.

I’ve occasionally transcribing Trump as a thinking tool since his first rallies, and I’m overjoyed to see @jbouie.bsky.social and others in national media using this tool instead of deferring to Trump’s proxies’ interpretations.

I think @flintdibble.bsky.social deserves some sort of “noteworthy achievement“ award in #science communication for his JRE appearance. His extraordinarily generous and good humored with thorough preparation. #SciCom

I’m 2/3 through @karaswisher.bsky.social’s #BurnBook but I’m pretty sure Wolens read it with a highlighter. Straightforward coverage of a bad tech speech with a fantastic headline.
Congratulations to PC Gamer and writer Joshua Wolens for coming up with the greatest headline in game industry news history

I apologize in advance to all the new people who are about to be told by beta participants how BlueSky is “supposed” to work.
I’m gonna watch what you make it.
