I spent a few hours trying to refactor this last night, only to end up right back where i started 🙃. Learned a lot at least, and good to know my original intuition was spot on.
Also glad i started putting stuff into git, so i can just trash uncommited changes to revert back

Most of my Sunday. Making my own working player chat system in Unreal. It *mostly* works, except for the player name not replicating on the right player's side. I did the replication wrong for the variable. Probably easier if I just stuff the sender's name into the message anyway.
