I know none of it's intentional, but its kinda fun to attempt to draw the line between two different writing teams and trying to connect them.

I've always believed that 2010's Sonic was written to be a version of the character that had kinda seen it all by that point
It makes the writing in Frontiers stand out a lot more because now he's not able to go through the motions and it shows in how he acts and even the voice/register change.

You could argue the Zeti in 2013 were a threat, but he never actually struggles aginst them outside of like one cutscene in the middle where the threat is just a fuckton of Badniks.
Every time one of them show up he brushes them off like a joke.

I was thinking about Roger Craig Smiths Sonic and the weird little arc that era got completely unintentionally

It will always bother me when people act like CGI isn't impressive.
Stuff like Thanos in Infinity War is technical marvel. Creating a character that looks that convincingly real is such an artistic achievement.
