Dear Senators of KS & MO,

This is what dissent looks like.

Hope you enjoy the craft herpes—because just like us, it’s not going anywhere.

Do your damn job.

P.S. To the woman who brought the postcard-making station, thank you!

A perfect example of just how blatant the disparities run in our current tax system.

We need to speak up and insist on change. If anyone knows ways that we can do that, please speak up!
NEW: Jeff Bezos has saved $6.2 BILLION from the discounted capital gains tax rate since the 2017 tax reform.

As Congress pushes MORE corporate tax giveaways, the IPS @inequality.org team, @powerswitchaction.org, and @athenaforall.bsky.social expose how Amazon execs have been raking it in. REPORT:

I never thought I’d see, during my own lifetime, so many parallels between present day US and 1930s Germany.

If anyone knows of ways that the rest of us can get involved and somehow support the release of those like Kseniia Petrova, please share your knowledge!
Almost every line of this story would have been simply unbelievable a few months ago:

—Pioneering cancer researcher;
—*Arrested* at airport in Boston;
—Now indefinite ICE detention in Louisiana;
—"Crime": not declaring some frog-embryo samples for research.

Read it.

Without scientist Kseniia Petrova’s expertise, no one can fully unlock the data’s potential, putting crucial advancements in early cancer detection at risk.

NEW: Mahmoud Khalil's wife gave birth to their child without him after ICE denied their request to let him be present.

“This was a purposeful decision by ICE to make me, Mahmoud, and our son suffer,” Dr. Abdalla said. “My son and I should not be navigating his first days on earth without Mahmoud."

I know they’re trying to tear me down, but honestly? The “woke mind virus” sounds kind of awesome.

Empathy, nuance, curiosity, critical thinking? If that’s a virus, I’m fully infected. Boosted, even. You should be, too.

Also completely true.

ITS NOT. FUCKING. PIE.
Equality isn’t achieved by taking anything away from anyone - it’s created by granting all of those things to everyone.

It’s not rocket science.
Rocket science is just simple physics (once you master calculus).

Why is this such a radical idea?
I just want everyone on the planet to be at least as safe, fed, housed and clothed as my family and I are.

Some people think that wanting these things makes me a radical leftist who should burn in hell.

But those people follow the teachings of Trump instead of the teachings of Christ, so….

But I also know we don’t have to wait for permission and institutional approval to share knowledge with each other and create community.
