This is my best friend and emotional support cat, Ella, who takes her job very seriously. Part of my doctor's treatment plan for me is more time outside, and Ella helps by insisting on a daily walk.

Oh my. Sounds like they have pretty brutal lives no matter where they live. I do think captive breeding programs for endangered species are an excellent justification for zoos.

I'm glad you mentioned why it's called a black mamba. I always imagined them as jet black, and I'm amused to learn that only the inside of the mouth is black.

Yeah, my dad was born left-handed and had it literally beaten out of him. Although he says becoming ambidextrous has been handy at times. Most of my family is probably neurodivergent too, but we do our best to mask.
