Every few years I wonder what happened to the artists I knew growing up, and often the answer is that somewhere in the last 20 years they just stopped that and became completely normal people.
I have no idea how they do that.

I hate how every search engine shows me location based results now even when I don't want it to. It actually makes what I'm looking for harder to find by showing niche local things with similar names I've never heard of.

I stopped playing *so many games* when I figured that out. The worst was when they were really close to enjoyable but for one or two things and I wanted to like them so I'd keep coming back and being frustrated all over again.

I kind of get this because learning to draw was frustrating as fuck to me. I didn't get into it because I liked the process, I just had things in my head I wanted to be able to express. Often very visually detailed things. I'd daydream personal movies when I was supposed to be doing schoolwork.
Honestly this is an excuse.
I know plenty of people who are not “naturally gifted” who do art.
It requires effort to learn. I feel you did not approach it correctly or think things happen over night.
Also hard work and skill is not “naturally gifted” as that undermines their efforts to draw.

my commitment to walking 10+ km on sundays is leading me into some questionable weather lately. I hope "small hail" is like... the rice sized kind

for a while now whenever I see a low-follower troll account on bluesky I will block all its followers before the account. now I'm starting to find that I can only see a handful of their several-dozen followers, suggesting I've already blocked the others (or they were deleted?)
