The writer of this RINGO NOM’D INDIE COMIC (and a very dear friend of mine) is a Syrian Refugee who has been through more continuous hardships than I have space to list here; constantly navigating visa applications, unstable living conditions, predatory landlords (limited options as a refugee).

Anas just wants to make comics and live a normal life like what so many of us take for granted. If you mourn the death of Kirk, then you have empathy and I commend you.

Everytime the US powers kill an immigrant, a Palestinian, or a queer, that person has a name. You can mourn that named person. If you mourn those deaths as nameless groups but you mourn Kirk’s death, then I question you.
