I took a ladleful into my bowl before taking a sip. It tasted like warm water sprinkled with half a drop of carrot juice. Bland like the inside of their house, bare of any stylish furniture. The wooden dining table was inadvertently asymmetrical, its rough edges capable of cutting leaning arms. The bowl smelled like damp cloth and the spoon smelled worse-like yesterday's damp cloth.
