you shouldn’t trust anecdotal data. That’s what I’ve heard anyway.

Hi.

Stop letting your kids get Covid, I absolutely beg you as a fully grown adult who can’t believe how little of a life I have after 3 years of LC.

There are interdimensional portals all over the British countryside. You just have to look.
Things I thought were real because of Star Trek:
Free health care!

Ha-ha. JK. I never thought that. My parents complained about the cost every time.

Instead of telling a disabled person what they should or shouldn’t be able to do… ask them how you could help them accomplish what they need.

Listen to their struggles. Approach the situation with compassion.

Offer genuine support.

That’s the best way to be an ally.

Good news! After last week's hearing, which 100+ people attended, the picture book "A Map for Falasteen" by Maysa Odeh and illustrated by Aliaa Betawi remains on the Watertown library's suggested summer reading list! Thanks to @wbur.org for reporting on this story: www.wbur.org/news/2025/08...

Two things:

1. Large language models like ChatGPT are statistically likely word generators; they don't have "expertise" in anything.

2. I have seen a team of PhD level experts fail to assemble a dresser from IKEA.
OpenAI releases the newest version of the AI model that powers its popular ChatGPT chatbot, with CEO Sam Altman promoting it as like having a β€œteam of Ph.D. level experts in your pocket.”
OpenAI releases GPT-5, calling it a β€˜team of Ph.D. level experts in your pocket’
OpenAI says its latest version of the popular AI model is better at coding, more accurate and less deceptive than previous versions.

I'm not a doctor, I've just been dealing with this disease and misinformed Drs for 30 yrs. If you're satisfied with your care, great!

If not, read everything at the Nancys Nook Endo group (medical sources cited) on fb and see if you need a second opinion.
Sorry if you've already been over all of this. I just hear too many stories of people who have been told they didn't have it. Only to have another, more qualified surgeon look and say they do.
Even "minimal" endo tissue can cause great pain. Was this surgeon an endo specialist? Some gyns don't know how to identify endometriosis in its different appearances. A neg biopsy from one site is only that site. No endo on your ovary does not equal no endo on your bladder, for example.
I'm so sorry. I know that sinking feeling I got after my last surgery. The worst was when the nurse came in and said with a big smile, "No endometriosis! That's great!" and I started crying and said, "Then why am I still in pain?"
Have they checked for adenomyosis?
Great episode, guys! I'm late, but I have to share my song for the episode. Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer:

Whoa, we're halfway there
Whoa oh, livin' on a prayer
*Take my hand* and we'll make it, I swear
Whoa oh, livin' on a prayer!

I thought "Wicked tie-in crocs" was going to be the thing that wrecked me from this image but then I looked more closely at the bottom right corner
I'm so sorry I missed it! I got the days confused. But you got my money, and that's the important part. πŸ˜„
I have strung this series out for yeeears because I didn't want it to end. I began around 2012. It feels so much more final when both the author and the reader have passed on. I'm starting the final book. Raise a glass to L.A. Meyer and K. Kellgren, for bringing Jacky Faber to life. #BloodyJack

Disabled people aren’t stealing your tax dollars

We aren’t the reason for rising costs & inflation

Most people would be shocked by what we’re expected to live on

We’re a scapegoat

It’s the billionaires who are doing the real fiscal damage

When you blame us, you’re giving them what they want

For… no reason, here’s that time Superman (Jon Kent) stood with protesters to stop the illegal deportation of refugees in Superman: Son of Kal-El #3. Art by John Timms.
I have read the KnowYourMeme page, and now I am 'hip to the jive.' And of course saying that means I am totally NOT.
