They are no longer threats, our democracy is broken & rapidly being replaced with fascism. It is undeniable. The only people who can put an end to this is the absent dysfunctional House, who has the power to impeach the DL and put an end to all of this, immediately. Also, SCOTUS made trump a king.

Congress already passed a law to ensure that the hundreds of thousands of furloughed federal workers will receive back pay when the shutdown concludes.

Trump and his team of billionaire sellouts cannot change that.

We have laws that are being broken & not enforced now. The Constitution is broken. The House refuses to come back to work, when the only thing they should be doing is impeaching the DL. The SCOTUS made trump a king. Millions of us will be protesting, as the last bastions of our democracy fail.

It highlights how John Roberts broke our entire system of govt. If Trump (and only Trump) doesn't have to abide by laws hashed out in Congress, there's no point in passing budgets to begin with—or in having a Congress. It's all vapor now.

It’s amazing that so many citizens of this country still believe that we have a democracy, when in reality, we don’t. The House, who has the power to impeach this miserable dictator won’t and the SCOTUS is corrupt, so democracy is gone.

Great 🧵; this is the main point. If the President can spend money on whatever he wants without congressionally mandated appropriations we don't have separation of powers, or even really a constitutional republic (at least under the terms of our constitution). We just don't.
