Libraries are places of pure magic.
You know libraries are awesome, right? For so many things beyond books, but especially for books. And especially for authors. Please ask your library to order in our books. It's a sale, but more importantly it puts our books in front of so many new readers. That's powerful magic.

Just finished King of Ashes by @blacktopkid.bsky.social and I need to meditate, do yoga, or take a gummie. Maybe all three? The last 100 pages were such a blur of audible WTFs and holy shits, my dog bailed off the couch and ran into the bedroom. BRB, going to read everything he’s ever written.

Apparently em dashes are seen as evidence of AI writing. Well, based on examples I've seen, they're random, stupidly used em dashes, because AI is ignorant and artless, but more pertinent to this post, you'll have to pry my "em dashes in place of parentheses" preference from my dead hands.

Travel tip: Download @cgolden.bsky.social's audiobook House of Last Resort. Time your roadtrip so the last 1/4 of the book plays as you drive through the dark, nearly deserted two lane highways of Arkansas, and you feel like the only person left in the world. Absolute nightmare fuel.

My best friend lives 530 miles from me. I go to see them at least 2x a year. Finished reading Rest Stop by @natcassidy.bsky.social. So the question is how do I make that trip without stopping for gas, snacks, or a bathroom break? Cause that just ain't happening now.

I hate @sgj.bsky.social. Don't get me wrong. I love Jade & Leetha, & a large chunk of my heart will forever live in Proofrock. But I really hate Stephen Graham Jones. Also, go read My Heart is a Chainsaw, Don't Fear the Reaper, & Angel of Indian Lake. I want you to be as miserably happy as I am.
