Pity the nation — oh, pity the people who allow their rights to erode and their freedoms to be washed away.

Don't hold your breath. Trump will veto the bill. And Congress doesn't have the two-thirds vote needed to overrided DT's veto. Trump will take the heat. Republicans in Congress will be off the hook for not following through.
NEWS: Ro Khanna tells us *50 Republicans* may be set to join him, Thomas Massie, and Democrats in voting to release the Epstein files.

Perhaps explains why Trump is now spinning out of control, attacking Republicans like Massie and MTG who are joining Democrats in responding to the public demand.

Justice Jackson did her best. A decision from the full court could have been much worse for SNAP overall. Vladeck explains why here . . .
If you’re trying to catch up on what went down with #SNAP late last night at #SCOTUS, here’s my attempt to read the breadcrumbs on the “administrative stay” issued by Justice Jackson—and why a justice so critical of the Court’s grants of emergency relief to Trump still granted temporary relief here:

Two fixes the RNC wants states to use: "alternative government databases" and the ability to challenge a "mail-in early ballot BEFORE it is returned" - all to restrict voting. The RNC threw 9 fixes at the courts to see if any would stick a win in their column. One RNC loss so far, 8 to go.
WIN: The Arizona Supreme Court upheld the state's Election Procedures Manual, rejecting the RNC's attempt to block its enforcement. While the EPM can be used in upcoming contests, lower courts must still weigh the RNC's remaining challenges. https://bit.ly/4ooNskr

Patty points out that nationwide we are losing money - all those research and medical projects across the board generate billions of revenue for federal, state, and local entities that keep our economy strong. Trump has weakened the economy - and it will get even worse.
My message to Trump’s NIH Director? No one in America wants us to do LESS cancer research.

No one is asking Trump to make it harder to cure Alzheimer's disease.

Yet Trump is cutting all of this NOW and demanding an $18 BILLION cut to NIH next year. Not on my watch.

Ummm. really? "Stop paying federal taxes"? You go girl, but come back next year and tell us how that worked for you. Or is this a you should do as I suggest, but I myself won't do it?
Stop paying federal taxes. If the federal government is just going to take, take, take without providing any services, cut off the money spigot. It’s that simple.

That Zuch, his board, and major shareholders could be held accountable is welcome. However, now extrapolate that to -- this is Trump's FTC, he has extorted law firms, & has (pizza) threatened judges. A pro-bono case w/ a threatened judge doesn't bode well for justice.
The FTC on Monday accused Meta of creating a monopoly that bought start-ups that stood in its way, kicking off a landmark antitrust trial that could dismantle a social media empire that has transformed how the world connects.

Logically, by definition, no one has been a "slave" in the USA for decades and decades, not in 2016, 2020, or 2024 either. So, why haven't Trump voters not seen the irony in their America 1st message? I guess they voted for America 1st, so we won't miss the "ones & zeroes" equal to slave wages.
MAGA propagandists now want you to ignore the economic catastrophe Trump intentionally brought on the American people — because “losing money means nothing.” Good luck running with this message in the midterm election.
