You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. - M. Forbes • Lewis & Clark Alum • Attorney 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

There are only a handful of books I’ve encountered in my life that I would call truly life-changing. I have just finished one of those rare tomes: “The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma” by Bessel van der Kolk, M.D.  1 of 12/

Colombian President Petro on Trump: “A clan of pedophiles wants to destroy our democracy. To hide Epstein's list, they send warships to kill fishermen & invade our neighbor for their oil”…

This is how we are perceived around the world.

Sad. 😎✨

All that’s happened in Venezuela is one evil, corrupt dictator has been replaced by one that’s even worse. Trump and his big oil buddies will bleed this country dry. They don’t give a rat’s ass about the Venezuelan people. Nothing is going to improve for them…

Things will get much much worse. 😎✨

The New York Times and Washington Post learned of the impending commission of a major crime and did nothing
(Semafor) - The New York Times and Washington Post learned of a secret US raid on Venezuela soon before it was scheduled to begin Friday night — but held off publishing what they knew to avoid endangering US troops ..

Stop calling it war. These are terrorist attacks being committed by the US government. Every foreign nation should be lining up sanctions.

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?

So, this should finally put to rest any delusions that there are decent people left in the US military who will stand up to illegal orders and protect democracy. The US military is now more likely to kill US citizens rather than help them. They are not our friends.

Our military personnel should reject this nonsense. There is no way they should be following orders of a criminal who is dragging them into a war for no reason. I’m pretty sure this is not congress approved attacks therefore making it illegal.

If Nicolás Maduro stands trial in the United States and gets convicted of 34 felonies, does that mean he’s qualified to be our next president now?

Just checking what the standards are these days.

I saw someone criticizing Mamdani for sounding too academic in his speech--“Oberlin” was the term used. I found it annoying.

The guy’s a man of the people, in the streets of NYC speaking plainly. He’s also educated and statesman. We can use some statesmanship.

He knows when to speak which way.

This is a crucial line from Mamdani

Mike Johnson-for one-is very polite. Yet his policies will likely kill millions of Americans. Cutting Medicaid and failing to extend the ACA subsidies alone will cause over 51,000 to die. Per year

He should be forever hiding in shame. Instead-he’s House Speaker
