“You already saw it once. In the Netherrealm, when you fed me the demon. Do you not remember it?”

A smirk answered before Nitara could plead her case. “That was different. We were different. I couldn’t appreciate it then, but I want to now.”

Appreciate it. Had anyone said it to her just a few months before, Ashrah would have bled the lie out of them. To admire her demonic form had seemed impossible… until she embraced it. Until she learned to love it.

“Please?” Nitara pursed her lips, wide eyes staring at Ashrah, who sighed in defeat. She was going soft.
