Five years ago I posted this short comic book online. Regicide follows a murderer who kills vigilantes.

Bit lost creativitly to be honest. Book delayed indefinitely. Thought about crowdfunding but postal costs are supposedly crazy.

Love comics but maybe my creativity should be put into other avenues.

The first graphic novel I ever drew just had a release party at NYCC and I wasn’t invited. Months ago I asked the publisher if they were going to attend the con and they said they had no plans. Then like 3 weeks ago they asked if I was going, they were doing an event.

I get why they do it but one of my least favourite things in comics is the over explaining in dialogue.

Like a character mentions that they know another character. But when the character is revealed they’ll always have dialogue with their name and who they are.

Manchán didn’t just focus on Ireland though. He travelled a lot, he loved to learn about other cultures and their folk tales and mythology.

He was a proud Irishman who never used that patriotism to justify hatred. Instead he used it to understand and respect others.

What a monumental loss for Ireland. Manchán was one of our greatest living storytellers. He loved the land, the culture and the language.

Anyone who ever listened to him speak know how he was able to hold your attention and blow you away.

He was an inspiration.

Probably for the best. Unlikely to get a seat with Lando and Oscar as the drivers unless one of them decides to leave and that’s not a risk worth waiting around for.

First jiu-jitsu competition since 2019. Only returned to training at the end of last year after a near 4 year break.

Tough to go up against some talented blue and purple belts but I had fun!
