I think a lot of people making movies/tv just think that if it’s not a movie it must be garbage, so they don’t need to respect it.

I feel like it’s the clearest example in a while of an adaptation where the people making it have active contempt for either the source material or the medium. Like, I don’t know how else you would get to this point without being like, “okay, here’s how we ‘fix’ this dogshit IP the proles like 🙄”

Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

What’s funny about this is that the only thing you need to get creative people interested in your ideas is money to pay them, which tech bros have in spades. They just really think they shouldn’t have to, do instead they dumped billions of dollars in a machine that agrees with them (sometimes)
