A lot of people are pointing out that this guy is no prince among men and that JPMorgan Chase has done some stuff, and right—that’s what makes it so notable that this guy thinks there will be accountability for this stuff in the future. He believes this is the *strategic* choice. That’s revealing.

Payback time for the road construction lobby.

Here in Galway we have the likes of Noel Grealish TD literally demanding two bypasses. One for the city, which would be a steroid injection for more car-dependent sprawl, and another for the town of Claregalway, already bypassed by the M17.
Four months after it was promised, we finally have the government's transport investment plan between now and 2030. It's bad. Roads are in, public transport is out. A lot of public transport projects being put on the long-finger to make funding available for new roads.
