I guess I never introduced my animals here. First pic to last - Iris 10 year old ottb mare who I do eventing, hunters & fox hunting w/, Ivy 2.5ish? Rescue pony who I plan on jumping & doing western w/, Bentley 6 yr old English foxhound rescue, & Myra 5 yr old pit/rottie/boxer rescue.
All bundled up. I'm going to have to blanket them heavier this weekend if it actually gets below 20⁰ like it's saying

It's bad enough that guys still ask you to add them on snap, but when you reluctantly say ok and they send a fucking shirtless selfie. This dumb shit is why I 1. Hate dating and 2. Only use snap for my close friends who live in other states so we can still keep up with each other.

Someone at the barn gave me this from 2003 and a green one from the 90s 😂 it actually fits pretty well and will go well with her navy heavy weight that doesn't have a neck but has the rings to attach one.

I've never had issues with this big 2 year old filly at the barn. I went to blanket her tonight in her stall. When I reached for her hind leg strap she kicked out and cornered me while turning her butt on me kicking out at me. Thought I was done for 🥲 luckily waving my arms & yelling at her worked

I love that my boss at the barn (who runs the place and is also the trainer) actually works too and helps with work when he's there, which is more days than not.

After not sleeping 2 nights in a row, I finally fell asleep at 6am for an hour and then 9am for another hour. I guess it's better than nothing. Never taking Sudafed again.

I personally understand how withholding sleep is a torture method. I'm losing my damn mind because I haven't slept more than 1-4 hours a night for months now. WHY.

It's nice finally being at an actual full care barn but I have a hard time having others take care of my horses. I feel guilty that I'm not there doing it myself.

If you're in central Texas & you have room to house a shelter dog in a spare room Friday - Mon/Tues, area shelters would love your help getting dogs out of outdoor kennels and into homes for a brief break. You don't have to do a lot with them, just let them decompress while we wait out the weather.

My head cold or whatever it was is back way worse. At least I tested negative for COVID and flu but ugh. Hopefully the antibiotics will start helping soon.

I haven't slept well in months but damn these past few weeks I haven't slept more than 4 or 5 hours. Sunday night was maybe 4 hours, Monday night, 3 and last night I just never fell asleep. Maybe I'm taking too many sleep meds but wtf.

The amount of posts I see on FB of people moving to the Charleston or Myrtle Beach areas and looking for boarding barns is crazy. Don't move to MB. Especially if you have horses. It's actual trashy hell here. Spare yourselves.

Spent the last hour & a half trying to figure out the dates of 2 jobs I had at the beginning of 2025 and finding the w-2s for those. I had to go look on my old phone and figure out which apps I used for which job and figure out the passwords. And then I go into my room and find my dog peed on my bed

Ivy ran through me when I was trying to bridle her. Ripped the bridle out of my hands, ran off with it hanging from her neck by the reins. Tripped over a bunch of plastic bags through the aisle way she shouldn't have gone through. Somehow didn't break the bridle.

I cleaned way too many stalls today. I hate this weather when all the horses have to stay in their stalls and can't be turned out.

It was too damn cold to do anything today so I just hopped on bareback and worked on getting Iris over this little bridge that she's been refusing to go over. After jumping over it a couple times I finally got her walking over it correctly from all four sides.
