It can't be much longer now
Halloween Screen Name: Active.

(It's an anagram of my name, middle initial included. It seemed appropriate!)
I agree completely, sir, and I think another reason may well be that the movie *validates* her feelings on that subject, rather than making her look like she stupidly fell for entirely the wrong person. I mean, they acted like she was a PERSON! Not a TROPHY!

One thing I haven't seen discussed is that (IMO) one reason a certain subset of fans really don't like the new Superman movie is because it suggests someone like Eve Teschmacher would much rather be with average junior reporter Jimmy Olsen than powerful, stylish tech billionaire Lex Luthor.
@microsoft.com, will there be any way to shut off/BLOCK FOREVER the AI features in the next Windows update? Because some of us-- VERY MUCH INCLUDING ME!-- find AI utterly and completely abhorrent and EVIL!
Quote this with the first four Horror movies that come to your mind that are 10/10s for you. No cheating. Just the first four that pop into your head.

The Wolf Man (1941 version)
Alien
Halloween (the edited/extended-by-12-minutes for TV version from 1981)
The Thing (1982)
Oooh this is a tough one —

Gonna take Jaws and Silence out because John said them and he’s right. Next four for me —

Doctor Sleep
Get Out
Near Dark
Tigers Are Not Afraid

I'll go first:
-Silence of the Lambs
-I Saw the Devil
-Coherence
-Jaws

So apparently it’s #portfolioday !
Here are some of my favorite pieces I’ve done…
It should be flatly illegal to force books written before 1900 on kids. If they want to read them, great, but if not? They should NOT be allowed on "summer/required" reading lists. I love Poe, Doyle, Twain & Dickens, but nearly DIED of boredom over Defoe, Swift, Hawthorne, Chaucer and Austen. NOOO!
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

UPDATE -- students in Georgia who've participated in the Reading Bowl have launched a petition to get answers as to why these 8 books were banned. Please amplify their petition and message, as well as the story here.

I'd have to go with Nightwing. Strength means nothing if you can't hit the target. Also, Bucky is significantly more set in his ways than Nightwing. Nightwing is GREAT at improvising. I'd give it to him with no caveats.
I'm with Mr. Clines. I love that movie, probably always will. I so, SO wanted the glaive from that movie. Confused me no end when I discovered than an ACTUAL glaive is basically a sword on a long pole. And disappointed me almost as much....

"A murder-suicide?!?"

"Something you want to say, Officer Getty?"

"With all respect sir, which one committed suicide? The one who stabbed herself in the back eight times or the one who cut his own head off?"
Q17: what is the craziest out of context line in something you’ve written (or are writing)

It's like asking what I love about breathing. My mom can back me up-- telling stories is the only thing I've wanted to do since I was maybe six years old. I told them with toys, then with double-lined yellow paper from school, then with her massive old electric typewriter, and now with a laptop.
Last question! Thank you all so much for participating! Can’t wait to do this next week with you all and see all of your amazing quotes! 🤗

Q40: What do you love about being a writer?
I got pretty tired of the whole "theme song as concert" thing close to the end (I'd rather at least watch the cast do the dance, and Mr. Grillo laughing [and trying tno to do so LOUDLY] at the end), but otherwise, yeah, I enjoyed it. Wasn't expecting the "business" reveal, but I dig it!
There are people. Real people. Who had to have the ending of Season 2 of "Peacemaker" EXPLAINJED to them!

By all the gods I don't believe in, I swear, the level of DUMB to not get that should NOT BE POSSIBLE!

#PeacemakerS2
For me, the best part of this season's "Peacemaker" theme and dance is Frank Grillo, at the very end, trying SO HARD not to burst out laughing-- and only avoiding the bursting out part.
Wonder man punching, and, for amusement's sake, Deathstroke being punched.

Over on the ranty writing blog this week I'm rambling on about word count, cutting whole chapters, and whether or not Wakko's actually doing anything useful.

If any of that piques your interest...
Massive Cuts!
Running a little late with this one, sorry. This fall/ early winter’s going to be very chaotic for me. Last month when I was guest-hosting the Coffeehouse, we talked a bit about word count. Not in the...

I've never seen any "Jaws," movie any "Godfather" movie, "Pulp Fiction," a single episode of "the Simpsons," or any other "prime time" cartoon. (I'm sixty, so I go deeper than many with the first two.)

*Deleted/reposted because typo.
I"ve never seen "Jaws," or "Pulp Fiction." Try to avoid Tarentino entirely, been mostly successful. Oh, nor any "Godfather" movie.
Never seen Dances With Wolves or Avatar, although -numerous- people have told me they're the same movie so it doesn't matter.
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.
...Is it a bad thing that I don't even know what "Friendster" is? Or was?
