Hey #portfolioday! I'm Leo, a Finnish ex-VFX artist from films turned to 2D artist specialized in Fantasy and dark art.

A thief riding a very large dog with forepaws that are shaped like human hands in a mountainous desert scene. Behind them chasing them on horses are desert warriors, one with a flaming sword and other one missing theirs, perhaps the dog rider snatched it? A glowing fairy shielding their self from the night rain under a leaf. On the other side a blue Gerbera is cast with the light from the fairy. A scene from a story I've been writing. A god of fire reaching out to a newborn who's crib has been set on fire on a ritualistic mound. A titanic demon saint wrapped in purple cloth standing between volcanic mountains with hundreds of worshipping demons in the foreground.

A giant demonic human figure with red skin and horned skull for a head framed by a halo is in midst of stopping between a valley of volcanoes. Now we are starting to be at the stage where the changes are going to be so tiny between sessions that I'll post the finished piece next most likely :p
Trying to push the realism as much as I can for this!

Maybe a bit rare use case but if you copy a part of your painting and it didn't land on the right spot you can use the "difference" or "substract" blending mode to align the image back. It's correct when the area has turned fully or mostly black then flip it back to normal mode.
Example of using difference blending mode when aligning images in the rare case when copy paste has fumbled or refuses to paste on the right spot. Or perhaps when you need to copy paste an earlier version that was painted in smaller size. In that case it won't be perfectly black but you can get it mostly there. Hope this helps someone!

Had a pretty short session so not that much progress. Kinda liking the swirley's for the impact areas for the force field! Magic effects are always fun but hard to do to make them look believable :)
Still a ton left to do on this!
