Basically, this needs to be investigated further. If everyone who had to, declared a #pucuniaryinterest at the time of vendor selection, then there may not be much to really do. However, it's still ideal to ask questions and investigate. #ONPoli #DOFO #DougFord

If a government contract is awarded to a friend or family members company, the elected representative has to declare that conflict, and then abstain from the vote. If there are other people who share the same conflict, they also have to declare that. 2/ #ONPoli #DougFord #DOFO #ConflictofInterest

A #conflictofinterest for politicians means holding a #pecuniary interest in something or someone, with pecuniary meaning monetary. When it comes to legislation, if someone has a pecuniary interest, they must declare that conflict. 1/ #ONPoli #DougFord #DOFO #Canada

Unbeknownst to most or long forgotten is that on October 8 and October 10, 2023; Hamas offered the same deal that’s being pitched as Trump’s “Gaza Peace Deal” which would have handed all hostages over to Israel in exchange for Israeli troops not entering the strip, Netanyahu refused the proposal.

Same in Ontario. After Bill 124 was overturned, union negotiations between the teachers #OTF and the #Ford government were marred by incessant referral to teachers as greedy. The same went for nurses under #ONA they slammed them us as greedy. Crickets though, with male dominated emergency services

I went to wedding on New Years Eve with my husband and oldest who was a toddler at the time. It was -51°C, Northwestern Ontario. We had to wear snow suits in the van because the heat wouldn't heat LOL

That is unhinged lol. I was a municipal councillor in a small rural community. I showed up to the question night without a speech, said how I felt, and got elected. No strategy involved, just honesty.
