Szobo’s tenacity.

Exactly why Wirtz got subbed off. I know it’s been questioned - especially since it was Gomez - but that’s what it’s gotten us.

Hugo’s been weirdly anonymous. Didn’t think that was possible.

Any of the frontline could have went off.
Would bring Chiesa and Mac Allister on for two of the forward line.
Exactly what I was thinking.

Add their injury, the substitution and their two goals?

Was never 3 to begin with.
They take a minute for every throw in and boo about time added.. fuck off!
No surprises there.

Up the Reds.
45 of Fede?

I swear down, football gods. Back off.
IN ME BONES.
In me bones.
Going to win this.

Feel it in my bones.
In me bones.
Going to win this.

Feel it in my bones.
Going to win this.

Feel it in my bones.

Florian with the 50 yard thread. Here for more of that.
Thought the subs did well last game in terms of intent and linking up. Quicker, faster, more intricate. That’s surely what unleashes the best of Wirtz too.
Would’ve liked to have seen Chiesa instead of Gakpo - for not other reason than giving Fede more minutes - but good to see some changes. Need that rotation.

Tough game for the lads tonight. Think keeping it tight for the first quarter could be the sensible thing.

Up the Reds x

Looked to me like him trying to balance out them coming our way. Knew we had enough on the pitch to go for it but was worried we didn’t have the players to ensure they didn’t catch us out…

Which, as it happens, was exactly what happened.
If it gets worse, yeah, questions need asking. At the moment, watching the team, there’s little too be optimistic about…

But I don’t know, guys. I don’t think that means it’s forever.
Ibou is a massive worry. Massive. Alexis is a bit more understandable with how his last few months have been (though an improvement today, even slight?). Mo? I get all that.

We’re so used to winning in spite of all the anticipated obstacles this is a really hard time to watch them.
Not long ago, with Klopp going, it was back to the idea of a ‘new project’ and a ‘rebuilding’, knowing Trent was off and a few of the older guard would be disappearing soon too.

This is the kind of thing we’d surely have been anticipating. Disjointed performances.

We’re still up there though.
Incomings, outgoings, a new system to try and bring out the best in a settling-in Wirtz, the unimaginable loss of Diogo to the squad…

It’s a hard watch and difficult to understand where the flair and composure has disappeared to in the moment. I don’t think it continues to be with a step back.
2 pts off top while in a really poor period. Not sustainable if we want to retain, yeah, absolutely, but we saw today that a return to a form of ‘the norm’ of last season didn’t help. It’s a transition and there’s familiarity issues across the pitch - they didn’t suddenly become terrible players.
Chelsea, at home, with their billion pound squad, and the millions on the pitch, have had a ‘right go’. Nice one, Gary.
Nothing there.

Like there was nothing on Tuesday night. 🤷‍♂️
