We're nearing the end of the year. I know some of us are guilty of having loads of sketches we intended to work on more. Is it easier to start something new, or go back to old? Do those sketches weigh on you? Maybe your mind is just needing to get more out. It's OK to let them go if you need to.

I don't know who needs to hear this but sometimes a sketch is just meant to be a sketch and not a finished piece.
Not everything has to be a "finished" thing. Maybe the sketch IS the finished version of that thing. If you learned from it, took what you needed, it had its purpose fulfilled.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

much has rightfully been said about the role the storefronts play in strangling the adult content out of games, but i think it's also worth pointing to how restrictive twitch and youtube are, when conventional wisdom is that you need people to stream your game for it to sell well
