This is the answer.
Abolish the Senate. just have the House.

Extremely proud of my debut as editor-in-chief of The Rockridge News, a 16-page print newspaper about goings on in a tiny little hamlet of Oakland.

I had a lot of help, but ran a lot of the show — design, editing, writing, reporting, illustration, the whole shebang. rockridge.org/wp-content/u...

Here’s the thing: checks and balances have always been an absolute farce

Gutting Teen Vogue is heinous. I was lucky enough to work with them to get my BIPOC/LGBTQ+ journalism students paid for their work.

Air tight on fact checking, understanding of teen writers and their feelings and a razor sharp moral compass. Tragic shit #teenvogue

please listen to the union’s calls to action when a company does something illegal and retaliatory to its employees instead of just blindly canceling or boycotting the company because someone craving engagement told you to do so

“Displaying passport holders’ sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birth — in both cases, the Government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment.”

If Bluesky thinks I want a feed of politics ‘comedy’ just because I was following the election last night, it is sorely mistaken.

Stale-ass small hands, covfefe jokes and whatnot. Next election we should primary the current leaders and instate NBA BlueSky to do politics comedy.

I like how Mamdani’s hand winks at me when he waves.

If you're under deadline for a whole-ass newspaper that you're basically solely in charge of — and a bunch of its readership is mad that you replaced the person before you — I highly recommend playing this on loop:

Can’t quite express how much of a bummer it is to see people dressed as something in particular here in Oakland.

When in New Orleans, everyone’s just digging in their costume closets to throw together some sort of ramshackle, beautiful whatever.

Yeah, yeah, penicillin or whatever — the greatest invention is copying something on your phone and having it paste into your computer.

Despite being a recovering Catholic — and how terrible this sounds — I have a feeling that hot priests just might save us.

They stake out territory in the Venn diagram overlap that just might bring us adjacent to the fascists, win them over to our cause.
REV. BLACK (who was shot in the head with a pepper ball): “If this is what they’re doing to pastors, journalists, teachers, mothers, and the elderly gathered to sing and pray outside ICE facilities… what might they be doing to our neighbors who are behind those walls?”

Never thought I’d say this, but the English monarchy is more ethical than ours.

I’m working with a lot of non journalists right now on a publication and I keep telling them, “oh don’t worry; I always find my source.”

Is it true? Certainly not.

Is it fun to say? Most definitely.
