Just going down to the shops for some milk, but I'll take my camera - you never know... #birds 🪶 I feel so lucky to have such wonders on my doorstep. (I also saw some Coots, and Pied-billed Grebes.)

A Snowy Egret in flight against blue sky, the yellow feet are usually obvious but so too the backs of legs which are yellow too. Medium-large white bird, wings straight out, head visible.

A Great Egret and reflection. A large white bird, long legs, neck and pointed yellow bill. Standing in calm water looking down into the water. The ripples distort the bill and body.

A Black-crowned Night Heron (at midday). Perched on a sign, large yellow feet visible. Shortish legs for a heron. White front and grey sides, darker grey wings. Black crown with a white plume just visible. Stout pointed bill. bright red eye and black pupil, cream colour around the face. Looking downward, blue sky and some out of focus trees behind.
