Burglarize is such an odd word. It's a kind of backward formation that leapfrogs a verb into a noun into a verb.

A burglar burgles in the same way an actor acts.

I wonder why this word in particular got the special treatment, and not actorize, bakerize, sellerize, worshiperize, etc.

A continued breaking down of UK English into international Blandlish = the disappearance of irregular nouns by simplification of plurals: "aircrafts, staffs, sheeps, deers, crafts..." the list goes on. In the long run it's small beer, but I resist globalisation in favour of localism as a principle.
