The first piece of land is wet and swampy, and that primordial swamp symbolizes chaos – the state when the soil and the water are yet to be separated.

Migation Period. Note influences - Roman, Celtic, etc. Have to think that as well as Terry Gunnell's "pantheon, what pantheon", it is also Norse/Germanic and what else? The Romans weren't afraid of syncretism, so why anyone else?

This, apparently*, is the earliest known reference to Odin. It's a bracteate, gold coin from Denmark, early C5th AD/CE. Seems to depict stylised raven, stylised horse (?) and Odin (?)
