In Portland, an ambulance was summoned to the ICE office to treat an injured protester (not clear how he was injured). But when the patient was loaded inside, ICE officers refused to let the ambulance leave and threatened to shoot the ambulance driver: www.wweek.com/news/2025/10...

A producer and editor for WGN-TV was violently forced to the ground this morning by two Border Patrol agents, before having her hands cuffed behind her back, during an ICE action in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Debbie Brockman has worked for the local television station since 2011.

One day, when this is over, I'm guessing they think they'll slip back into their regular lives without repercussions. Sadly, I'm sure most of them will get away it. Maybe justify it to themselves with - I'm just following orders / feeding my family.

This is nothing but red meat for Trump’s base. A federal law that *Trump* signed into law guarantees backpay to furloughed workers. There’s no disputing this.

A new White House memo says that furloughed federal workers aren't entitled to back pay.

This is clearly against the law, which guarantees furloughed federal employees back pay for the duration of a government shutdown.

If and when things go back to any semblance of normality, what happens to all the sociopaths we've uncovered? I'm my naivety, I didn't realize there were so many people who were OK with treating people inhumanely. They said the Abu Ghraib torturers were a few bad apples. 🙄
