I had an epic trip and fall in the front of my classroom (few outlets means its a constant risk) and after, one of my girls kept repeating "Its almost your birthday. You can't get hurt before your birthday"

So I guess its fine the rest of the time??

I had to set up 3 different labs on top of fish funeral and emergency water changes to keep the rest of the fish alive... glad I had already bought plants for the tank

Some days you get to school and on top of everything else you need to do, you discover you also have to plan a funeral for a fish. Dig a fish grave.

A 7th grader called me a gentle soul. An 8th grader who "doesn't pick favorite teachers" called me his favorite teacher. Gotta say this first week was miles better than my last first week.
