What an amazing coincidence.

I was watching Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen, just last night. Duvall plays a small part as a cab driver.

I was thinking about how odd it was to see a major star like Duvall in such a minor role, and started browsing his IMDB page. 🤔
A giant loss: Robert Duvall is gone. An extraordinary artist who was fluent in every dialect of film acting, from ice-cold underplayer (The Godfather) to expert naturalist (Tender Mercies, The Apostle) to balls-to-the-wall maniac (Apocalypse Now). One of our all-timers. Plunge into that filmography.

Now they want to probe Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl appearance.

It will take this country decades to recover from the sabotage of the Trump regime, if ever.

Trump and his co-conspirators have done more damage to the United States than Putin could’ve ever dreamed of.

The administration has provided no accounting for the arrests in Minnesota. Tom Homan claims 4000 but the real question is how many among them are the murderers & pet eaters that Trump touts the whole mission was about. I’m betting not very many but it’s important to know to post-mortem the debacle

The administration can try to play the “we did what we came to do, and we’re leaving“ card in Minnesota, but nobody will believe them. It’s clear that their own brutal excesses plus the great courage and resistance of the people, plus a lot of video, forced their hand and made them look for the exit

Every once in a while I think about how outrageous it is that we live in a democracy, with the right to choose our leaders through voting, and the biggest preoccupation of one of our major political parties, before governance, the economy, or national security, is suppressing the vote. 😑
