For International Holocaust Remembrance Day, @omerman.bsky.social wrote this moving personal essay derived from his trip to Germany in the spring, to accompany his mother, who is a child survivor of Bergen Belsen, to a ceremony marking 80 years since liberation.

I cannot get over this excellent reportage by Lisa Goldman.

West Bank Palestinians face limited employment opportunities, relying heavily on Israel. The Israeli government’s actions, potentially inciting unrest, are impacting both Palestinians and Israelis.

Israelis and Palestinians are totally intertwined. This, perhaps counterintuitively, is what has emerged from the past two years of horror as an irrefutable fact. I wrote about this after a reporting trip. newlinesmag.com/reportage/wh...

Nearly 200,000 Palestinians were employed in Israeli construction, allowing them to support their families. Now, they're unemployed, and Israel's construction has tanked

Sweden was a paradise of social equality and liberal values for a long time, but the contemporary reality is quite different. Now, far right politics & oligarchs dominate the discourse and the "centrist" gov't wants to pay migrants to leave. newlinesmag.com/reportage/th...

This is such a damning report. No wonder the White House wants it buried and fuck Bari Weiss for complying. When she is hauled up in front of the international tribunal at the Hague for acting as an accessory to the crimes committed at this prison, I will cheer.
