Switching over to a re-read of Cassandra Gannon's Elemental Phases romantasy series, starting with Warrior From The Shadowland. The world-building is easy-ish to follow & the fated mates vibe is *strong* in these books. Nice amount of humor, too! 6 books so far, with a 7th supposedly otw 🤞 💙📚

Closed out 2025 with a pretty solid reading month, mostly ARCs but also some library digital borrows. A few re-reads as palate cleansers, and LM Montgomery's The Blue Castle is just as charming as the first time I read it back in hihgh school #BookSky 💙📚

My late father couldn’t watch It’s A Wonderful Life because he’d get too enraged at Uncle Billy. “What the hell is wrong with this stupid asshole?” Not super fond of Clarence, either. “Does this guy even know what he’s doing??”

I read today that a group of mermaids is called a "gossip" and, while Google doesn't 100% agree, I like it. It reminds me Ariel and her sisters 🧜‍♀️🧜🧜‍♀️🧜 📚💙

For crying out loud people, tip your Doordash drivers! They don't get paid much to begin with but they do get to keep their tips. If someone is driving your food to you in their vehicle using their own gas, just do the decent thing #PSA #GigEconomyWoes

Reading a biography about Dolly Parton and was surprised to learn that Bob Eubanks was her record producer at one point. Pondered it for a bit than Googled Bob Eubanks and realized I'd been thinking of Bob Uecker 🙄😆 #BookSky

Movie set where I grew up.

Jaws 3-D set at the Orlando Sea World. (Not quite where I grew up, but close enough.) I remember going on a school field trip as a kid during filming and parts of Sea World were closed off to the public. 4th grade me thought was pretty cool. 🦈

Witnessed a wholesome moment: young woman running for her bus stop, she's a block away & the bus blows by, she wails "NOOOOOOOOO!" 2 construction workers witness it, they yell & wave their arms for the bus to stop & the driver stopped for her! Went a tiny way towards restoring my faith in humanity ❤️
