We often forget that while some on the boomers went on to be the main beneficiaries of the current economic system, no generation has ever done so much protesting: feminism, labour, democracy, wars, nuclear arms. That part we should learn from.

I've spoken to hundreds of tech workers at places like Palantir, rank & file + higher up. I only ever met 1 that started his job aware of a moral low shenanigans & not caring. Some grow aware. Most see a good mission. Mobilizing tech workers, a strong labor movement could move the needle

Here is a necessarily incomplete list of important points that didn't occur to our departmental executive until it was much too late: 1. An avatar of an Elder God manifesting in the person of a politician might possibly have an agenda of his own and might be sufficiently competent at finding allies, or at least adoring cult members, to win the largest general election landslide victory since 1945 2. The UK, as Lord Hailsham famously remarked in 1975, is an elective dictatorship 3. Consequently, such a politician might be a bit harder to control than a merely human Prime Minister 4. One of the most fundamental rules of Applied Computational Demonology is "do not summon up anything you can't put down in a hurry"; the avatar of an Elder God is pretty clearly something along those lines 5. This particular avatar of an Elder God turned out to be immune to; bell, book, and candle: bullets: blackmail: botulinum toxin: bribery: bombs: back-bench plots: banishment: and (worst of all) bureaucracy Not only are we unable to banish the Prime Minister, every entity we are aware of who might be able to do so is *even worse*

Nej, alla arbetsplatser har inte en tystnadskultur. Och även om de skulle ha haft det, så hade det fortfarande inte varit okay.
Finns det en tystnadskultur på Lundsberg? – Det har funnits, och det finns, precis som på alla arbetsplatser.

Much as I don't like Grok or Musk, I still think we are going to end up accepting that anyone can make deep fakes of us, because the alternative is extreme surveillance.

I think distributing those deep fakes falls nicely under existing laws, and so does going after revenge porn site money.

Om det är något som är orimligt när det gäller a-kassan så är det att Johan Britz och hans allierade urholkar den för att finansiera skattesänkningsr för sina vänner. Men det vågar han såklart inte prata öppet om.
