There are plenty of people who want to cover these games. Every newsroom I've been in has a ton of people who want to hype up indie games.

But they've all been laid off, or their sites are shuttering, or they're saddled with mandates from higher ups that they need to focus on SEO content.

It's 48 hours since Little Rocket Lab launched, we've been top of New and Trending for the entire time, 94% rating on Steam, huge player numbers, big numbers on Game Pass, tons of streams and YT videos...

and we've still received next to no press at all

The press for smaller games is just dead.

I feel like if you grew up working class or you've ever had to struggle, that financial trauma never goes away. I still mostly stick to sales and discounts, but whenever I get pricier things for gifts or treats (and use those pay in three systems) I have this gut-wrenching feeling in my chest.

Treats are a necessity. If we just bought exactly what we needed to live (food, heating, etc) our MH would take a huge tumble. You deserve to make yourself happy!

But I feel that shopping guilt. It never goes away.

That's a healthy way to enjoy it tbh! I won't lie, at the time I did think it and Californication were setting a new bar for TV show writing, but 2006 was a weird time (and I was 15). That's my excuse anyway.

Camp is the best way to put it. In no way would I ever say its the best written TV show ever made (my favorite is Six Feet Under, Hall's first TV outing), but I enjoyed every second of it. Well, maybe not the OG last two seasons.

High school was not nearly as nice when it came to being a nerd, that's for sure. But that memory will stay with me forever, and makes Discovery that much more of a top-tier album for me.

Might have to pop that song on the wedding playlist if we ever can afford a proper wedding day.

All the Interstella 5555 stuff in Fortnite reminds me of P7 camp, where the disco played 'Digital Love' and my class ran over to me as it was the "Rosie anime song." They then proceeded to dance around me with me in a circle, as they knew I loved anime so much - one of my favourite memories.
