People sometimes ask me why I find steam engines so fascinating... 🤔 I think it is because they balance on the fine line between machine and living creature. They feel so alive and have so much personality, there is no wonder they have been anthropomorphized for nearly as long as they have existed.
I never... planned on getting into this, but here I am. I now own this little fella, and my husband is already planning our garden railway... ^^'
It doesn't have any name yet, so I am open to suggestions. #gardenrailway #miniaturerailway #locomotive #trains
I lost my mother today. I was 15 minutes too late to see her alive for the last time... I feel numb.
"Mom? Can you make a Skibladner cake for my birthday?"
"Suuuuure...."
Meh... it's close enough isn't it? 😅
First merch!
Temporary tattoos. 😊 Thanks to everyone who has made this possible! When I published the first book, I expected it to flop... but here we are 4 years later: 2 book, a coloring book, Christmas booklet and now these! Thank you so much for the support!
Happy 100th birthday to our beloved UHB No.6 Høland! ❤️
Walking into the engine shed at night and I hear this deep, steady, heavy snoring sound. Like a big animal sleeping. And it comes from the locomotive. 😅 Try to convince me these things aren't alive!
UHB No.4 Setskogen looking pretty today! <3 I had the honor of driving her for today's service.
She is home again!
After two years in Czechia for repairs, she is finally home again. And I have the honor of being her driver this weekend at the international festival "Stoppested Verden" (Next stop: the World).
Finished the job of mapping the electrical wiring today, then stripped the machine from cables and electrical components to make it ready for body work, welding, sand blasting and painting.
He looks a bit naked without his electrical components.
Yes! I was picked to be one of two driver at the festival "Stoppested Verden" at the Norwegian railway museum this year! Can't wait to drive good old Urskog again, she's been in Czechia for repairs for two years now. I've missed her.

Soon... Soon the driving season will start again. I can't wait! I seriously suffer from steam withdrawal!
Bingsfos' imagination goes a bit wild upon learning that Granfos once was standard gauge... 😅

My daughter gets to see her favorite locomotive in September 2023. The photo to the right was published in a railway magazine and was the start of an incredible rescue mission. The locomotive is now at the Norwegian Railway Museum and will be restored and preserved.
I try to keep politics out of my Bluesky, but I just can't shut up after seeing today's meeting at the White House.
What an absolute disgrace Trump is.
He's just Putin's lap dog. I am sure Putin will give him a fat, juicy bone after today's meeting and tell him he's a good boy.
A lot. Most of the stories has been turned into childrens books.
I sure do. I work as a fireman/engineer on heritage steam locomotives in Norway.
Some weird AI action going on there....

Some music for the Norwegian Railway Stories. Not entirely sold on Bingsfos' theme, but we're working on it.
