My life feels like the 2022 Rugby Premiership final.
Every time I get ahead, Sarries go and equalise, and I have to start again.

SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.
"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

Cracked a tooth. It's "exquisitely painful".
Dentist on Thursday.
In the meantime, lots of rinsing and paracetamol.

As a middle aged man, carrying a few issues with "The Establishment", and who just about remembers punk and New Wave, this album is utterly sublime.

Doc prescribed medication to quell my "anxiety" (concussion symptoms after a bang on the head):
"They may make you feel worse and give you an upset stomach till you're used to them. Don't stop taking them suddenly, as you'll rebound."
Right, so I'll become dependent on them IF they help.
No thanks.

I've always loved French kit from the First World War.
If I could own an artefact, it would be one of these.

Watching QI last night, Sandi described how foot soldiers at Agincourt discarded their hose and fought naked waist-down because of dysentery.
So this reconstruction at the Royal Armouries is accurate up to a point, in that he looks pretty skanky downstairs.
Good job there's a glass screen 🤢

Final photos from a grand museum experience.
The live presentations there are so good: I saw Romans vs. Celts (and cheered for the Celt, of course), and D-Day - both of which were excellent.
Thank you, #LeedsRoyalArmouries
Not my first visit, nor the last.

Leeds Royal Armouries today, whilst completely ignoring residual post concussion symptoms.
Swords, armour and historical presentations.
And a posh coffee, hopefully.

Head appears to be clearing.
Maybe (maybe) it wasn't concussion. 🤞

We took a walk through and around Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire today.
A perfect walking day, albeit so busy that we went to a café in Ripon, rather than queuing.
Turned out to be better, anyway.

Over five months since the accident, my damned foot is still not recovered from the tendon and ligament damage.
And every time the light gets nearer, it then recedes back down the tunnel.
Sigh.....
