Zionism is an ideology that does not have Jewishness as an entry requirement. Lots of right-wing churches, billionaires etc are Zionists. Lots of Jews are opposed to Zionism. It's very understandable that it's confusing because Zionists will yell until they are blue in the face that they are Jews.

Extract from Jack Toohey’s book on how we have got it all wrong with real estate financialisation rather than productivity and research.

“Aust finds itself in a paradox. Passive property ownership appears more financially rewarding than productive work…distorted reward system”.

You might think that this doesn't affect you. Maybe not now.

I have observed how the police have been applying the 'salami technique'. Slice by slice, our rights are being infringed.

Do you think many Americans predicted what is currently happening to them?

AI slop is Macquarie Dictionary’s Word of the Year for 2025. It also won the people’s choice vote.
The dictionary defines the word as “low-quality content created by generative AI [artificial intelligence], often containing errors, and not requested by the user”

AI slop is Macquarie’s 2025 Word of the Year. I applaud the choice – but was bored by the shortlist
AI slop was the clear winner of Macquarie’s Word of the Year – it also won the People’s Choice Award. Honourable mentions included another AI-related word: clanker.

Private equity doesn’t create value. It extracts it. It’s financial vampirism. It sucks companies dry and leaves behind empty husks.

Step 1: Buy a company with borrowed money
Step 2: Shift that debt onto the company
Step 3: Fire workers to “improve efficiency”...

Packer playing the victim, full of self-pity.

Of course our concern should extend to a reckless billionaire’s minor financial setback, and not the catastrophic harm gambling wreaks on ordinary Australians.

And the egregious misconduct Crown was found to have committed by Victorian royal commission

Both major parties have followed neoliberal ideology in that time.

With no evidence to back it up, they believe in minimal government and leaving it all to 'the market'; which is only interested in maximising profits.

No interest in the Public Good.

Suck it, Apple, because he's now Mayor where that store resides.

The US and Israel vote AGAINST banning torture.

I wouldn't be surprised if other countries inflict torture undercover.

However, doesn't it reveal so much that there are only three countries that have the audacity and confidence to blatantly proclaim their approval of torture?
