Agreed 😡

And what about artists? Musicians? Carers? Teachers? Hospitality workers? Bricklayers? Agricultural workers? Stay-at-home parents and grandparents?

None are high earners.

But all contribute massively to our economy and society - whether directly or indirectly.
This is so disgusting.

Vive la France!

But also: Kinda wondering exactly what it’ll take for the UK Government to get off X/Twitter (let alone to take action similar to France’s).
French authorities are taking X to court because Grok is now doing straight up holocaust denial. Gas chambers intended for disinfection, cyanide residue tiny, ‘story’ persists because of taboo against critical examination. (Full translation in alt text)

That it comes from Labour is…profoundly disappointing.

Excellent and clear long 🧵 on why the proposed New Towns aren’t really New Towns and won’t actually deliver what the OG New Towns did.

We deserve better, don’t we 🙄
Labour is pitching the New Towns announcement today as a return to the "transformative post-war housing boom under Clement Attlee".

Actually it looks much more like housing policy under Blair, or even Thatcher and Boris Johnson (thread)
