I'm Loeiz, a texture/environment artist working in games and animation films 👋😄

I'm open for freelance or contracts in those fields and every 3D-related medias, as I tend to be curious about art in all forms !

Feel free to follow me for more art posts and contact me;)
3D render of a chainsword from the Warhammer 40k franchise. The sword is painted in gold and dark green colors to show that it belongs to a marine from the Dark Angels chapter. These are 3 material spheres that are displaying in order from left to right :
- a snow material with small horizontal trenches.
- a plain snow material.
- an ice crystal material with a snow layer on top of it. This is a 3D render showing an abandonned/looted pharmacy, with empty medication lying on the floor and shelves ; a bloody murder must have taken place. The scene is shown from a hole in the fake ceiling. This picture shows a cylinder on which a stylized material of terracotta is displayed. In the background, there is a painted base-color of the material fading into black.

Yes I totally understand, I think the US used to drain talents from the entire world before and the balance might be changing due to current events that are putting the US animation industry in danger, or at least slowing investments maybe.
In Europe, people still struggle to get funds too 😩

So I'd say if something in between a school and a studio would open, it could be in Paris given the general interest and investment in french animation lately. But indeed it is not where the most workers currently resides.
loeiz.bsky.social
I think there's a demand from students and people working in 2d/3d animation to study and create stop-motion in france.
I'm in Paris and working on a film thats a mix between stop-mo and 3D and I've been meeting many people with affect for stop-mo and many animators wishing to see more of it here

I remember when i was in game art school, teachers where always surprised with how slow some people were. I guess I need to keep that in mind, and not give too much information, let them practice and adapt to *there* rythm indeed!

Thank you for this, didn't think it could be much trouble, but I guess appearances count 😅 Going to act confident !

The blocking has continued its way 😌
3D blocking of an unreal engine mosque scene that I'm creating. This is a front view of the entry of the mosque. This view of the blocked 3D mosque features the greater patio, where I'm planning to put plants inside the basins. The octogonal dome can be seen at the back. This view features the entirety of the mosque's blocking that I've set up. This view enables me to see that my creation scope is quite huge :')

An M.I.T. study found that 95% of companies that had invested in A.I. tools were seeing zero return. It jibes with the emerging idea that generative A.I., “in its current incarnation, simply isn’t all it’s been cracked up to be,” johncassidysays.bsky.social writes.
The A.I.-Profits Drought and the Lessons of History
Like the steam engine, electricity, and computers, generative artificial intelligence could take longer than expected to transform the economy.

New stylized tiles ! Trying trimsheets this time 😋
3D render of a stylized trimsheet with green, black and white painted stone tiles with various patterns. The plane is slightly bent to show some different light angles on the tiles. 3D render of an environmental floor prop, copying the style of mosque patterns, using the late trimsheet with green, black and white patterns. A pair of legs stands on the prop to show human-scale reference.

I like your point of view, I shall remember it for the next time archviz comes to me 😅
loeiz.bsky.social
I really understand what you mean with props and texturing details, when doing archviz it felt difficult to ignore every attention to detail, every story that could have happened within rooms. It was hard to stick to pure vizualisation to satisfy the client, always felt too pure
