The Phillies' season comes to a disappointing end following a loss to the Dodgers in Game 4 of the NLDS.

If the higher ed job market weren't terrible, so many faculty would have fled from the states that are cracking down on academic freedom and from schools that are negotiating with the Trump Admin.

But now many of these faculty are now engaged in organizing and activism for the first time.

Ironic

👇🎯 This interconnectedness is exactly why more bank capital - not what we got post-GFC, but <a lot more> - was necessary. As soon as this web makes it to systematically important financial institutions (& it probably already has), & one does a Lehman, we’re facing another systemic financial crisis.

What's more, it's this effort to build faculty power and develop counternarratives that may provide the political foundation for a deeper renewal of support for US higher education and make the job market much better.

Bray is a historian at Rutgers who received death threats after landing on Turning Points USA's Professor Watchlist. As a result, he announced he was moving to Europe. And then this happened.

This kind of harassment and abuse of scholars is Charlie Kirk's legacy and it's only getting worse.

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

More of a plaid than a windowpane, no? Anyway, loud patterns and unconventional colors and color combinations are also seen all over menswear in sports commentary. Food for thought

Columbus City Schools may have to stop bussing high school students entirely because Ohio law requires public school districts to prioritize bussing for charter and private school students - and the state is already fining Columbus more than $10 million/year for not complying enough

Pushing “market logic” into higher education has made the wealthy schools richer and the poorly resourced schools poorer.
