It is very uncommon here, about 4 deaths per 100 000 births, but it does still happen.
My heart is breaking for her family, especially her husband who is a wonderful person and now has to take care of a newborn (and a toddler) while grieving.

Just found out that a friend of mine recently passed away. We had sort of lost touch after I moved towns, but still followed each other on social media and so on.

She was pregnant and passed away giving birth, due to unforeseen complications.
She leaves behind two kids and a loving husband.
