The FL FWC is taking advantage of the unusually cold weather to temporarily allow people to remove live, cold-stunned green iguanas from the wild without a permit and bring them to one of their 5 south FL offices.

Has protective, hard scales that cover its entire body, including the belly.

Found in a small area of the Yangtze River basin in Eastern China.

Considered Critically Endangered by the IUCN.

Another shot of Moira the boa imperator from yesterday. I just love her temperament - boas like to move slowly & deliberately (if sometimes nonsensically!); she really gives you a squeeze compared to my pythons. It almost feels like they're afraid to fall. We're just warm trees to them, lol 🐍

Max. length: males 144 mm (5.7"), females 151 mm (5.9").

2-4 fully developed young are born after on average 2-3 years of gestation.

Found in the Alps from the Swiss-French border to Slovenia.

Considered Least Concern by the IUCN.
