And to think, this all started with a chaotic meet-cute brought about by sudden, catastrophic engine failure.

I enjoy looking into the implications of decisions people make in the midst of a complex situation. In book 1 we learned that the Arcadius Fleet went into a complete lockdown 25 days AFTER Grace and Dean crashed.

And I couldn't help but wonder why? What happened in those 25 days?

When I'm feeling this book will never happen, I remember NK Jemisin saying how she called up Kate Elliott & "confessed that I was desperately afraid I’d written the worst novel that had ever existed" and wanted to cancel the contract.

I am very excited for you all to meet Grace and Dean. I have only known them for a few weeks but I've become rather fond of them.

I've also nearly killed both of them at least once, but that's how writers show our love. Trauma.
