I just called Anthem to make sure the appeal I filed online about getting sent $900 worth of bills for my annual physical had actually gone through and the nice man at the call center was like "yeah, I checked and you saw your in-network PCP for your annual physical, resubmitting this claim"...

I’m reading Metallic Realms by Lincoln Michel and it’s very good but his name always fucks my head up because in college I took an American Urban Politics class taught by Lincoln Mitchell, who is emphatically not Lincoln Michel even tho they have both taught at Columbia.

I’m not going to name names because I don’t want to be mean, but there are certain non-Jewish women who get cast in Jewish roles where you can tell the thought process was “well of course she looks Jewish, she’s a white girl who’s a little ugly.”

As a vegetarian I can easily lose both turkey and ham

I noticed this morning that I have this fun quirk where I say “enjoy your holiday” or “have a good holiday” instead of “Happy Thanksgiving,” I think because I’ve conditioned myself to never assume what someone is or isn’t celebrating
