I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

Caught up on #SagaComic (I was about 7 issues behind). Still one of the best stories I've read in any medium. And huge shout out to Fiona's artwork, it brings it to life so glowingly. I should probably go back and read it from #1. That might be my next big read.

Hit my absolute limit today with people telling me what to do and how I should be doing it, and gently and (I think) politely suggested that they refrain unless I ask.

Was just going back through my Goodreads - gosh I wish Victoria Helen Stone had written more than two Jane Doe novels. Those were brilliant.

Buckle up. The crowd that brought you "Fifteen is too young to transition" and "Fifteen is too young to terminate a rape baby" is about to bring you "Well, now, actually, fifteen year olds, historically, were married with children by now, so you know, it's not really pedophilia..."

(Some were 13.)

This account of what the three authors observed during Patterson’s triple murder trial does resemble a podcast transcript at times, but it is extremely readable

If you're in the quiet carriage, do make sure to eat something out of a loud crinkly bag, and don't just get the thing out. Keep reaching into that loud crinkly bag and make sure you make plenty of noise. Other people in the quiet carriage love that.

#Supanova apparently just realised how loathed Sandilands is. It must have been putting a dent in their ticket sales, or the distributors of the movie he's plugging got spooked. He's off the docket anyway. Haha. Cunt.

How the plastics industry shifted responsibility for recycling onto you, the consumer
Only 9% of plastics ever made have been recycled. Clever industry campaigns have shifted the costs of their own waste onto consumers.

My new desk faces one way glass doors. It's hilarious. This morning, 2 boys, maybe 13yo, caught sight of themselves and started posing and taking selfies. One of them was like a budgerigar, caught by his own reflection. I couldn't help myself, I stuck my head out and asked if they needed any help 😂

Yesterday: got an actual call at work from my parents - out of character enough that I freaked out a bit. It was kind of an emergency, if you call being defeated by the hellsite that is Ticketmaster an emergency. More online savvy people than my 72yo parents have been frustrated by that site.
