Some of you may recall that I've often used this graph showing households in West Virginia as the poster child for how insane the net #ACA premium hikes could be for some enrollees starting a month from now...

@americanair.bsky.social charging 24 DOLLARS for 2 hours of wifi for each computer is just obscene. Pure price gouging and greed.

In this economy? What a terrible company, man.

The same people who i used to fight with in the GOP, who wanted to withdraw American troops from everywhere, are now the ones justifying the murder of two survivors.

It’s almost like…. It was never about that

Today is the 70th anniversary of Rosa Parks' arrest. Six myths: 1) She wasn't old or tired. 42 years old that day, she had a "life history of being rebellious" & had spent two decades helping to turn the Montgomery NAACP into a more activist branch alongside ED Nixon and Johnnie Carr.

Sacks was the third player in the Ackman-Rufo disgusting takedown of Claudine Gay w/cherry-picked, ancient allegations, mock outrage, racist tropes about Black competence, and vibes.

But he’s crashing out over a legit story abt his conflicts.
Like Ackman melting down about his wife’s plagiarism.
David Sacks' response to the NYT story pointing out all his conflict of interests is a masterpiece of half-truths, outright lies, and deliberate evasion.

Also I always feel the need to remind people that Sacks was born in South Africa and I believe still has dual citizenship (not sure about that part).

In any case, he is a member in good standing of the apartheid triplets along with Musk and Thiel.

A basic and intuitive understanding of the law is that punishments should not be retroactive upon a policy change.

This is even worse. There is no formal policy change, they are simply penalizing couples for following common practice - explicitly allowed by Congress - for decades.

Also, the essay provides no evidence that the student read the assignment; it's--generously--four copies of the same ~150 words of content standing on each others shoulders in a trenchcoat with a sign that says "I is 600 word essay" and it's OBVIOUSLY WRITTEN IN BAD FAITH.
